Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) introduced a bill to create an Office of Pension
Participant Advocacy at the U.S. Department of Labor, establishing
a central location where pension participants can turn to when problems
arise. Quote from Senator Harkin: "It is troubling to hear that
some employers are misleading employees about their retirement options."
"After working for forty or fifty years, Americans have a right
to get the full value of their hard-earned pensions."
